At Agora Patufet Infant School we have a team of hand-picked teachers with human and vocational qualities, and a great sense of professionalism. The teachers transmit their hope and enthusiasm to the pupils every day, providing them with the tools to learn literacy and habits. We want our pupils’ adaptation into the society in which they choose to live to be guaranteed, for it to be a positive immersion in a world which is more and more technology focused: the society of information and knowledge. That’s why we have a team of specialist teachers.

Our specialist teachers are in constant training, in order to dedicate themselves fully to the development and learning of all the pupils at Agora Patufet Infant School. The teachers are a team of people who collaborate together and work continually to learn and update their knowledge by attending debates, round tables, and training courses, which enable them to stay up to date with the latest advances in education. Similarly, they have the backup and shared knowledge of all the teachers at Agora Sant Cugat International School.

The role of the teachers at Agora Patufet Infant School is fundamental for developing the pupils’ abilities, and the pupils’ happiness and motivation to explore the real world depends on them. They are a team which works alongside families to improve the individual development of every student. Through individual attention, the objective of the teachers is to offer the tools for the children’s affective, emotional, critical, and creative development.

At our infant school we offer a quality education which takes into account academic development: when the pupils come to the end of their time in Infant Education, they have learnt to create routines, to begin with literacy, to begin mathematical thinking, but also to begin academic development, so that in the future they will become true citizens of the world.

Pupils at Agora Patufet Infant School grow up in a plurilingual environment in which they establish their foundation as global citizens, which they can then develop through the rigorous programme at Agora Sant Cugat International School. This is a multilingual environment with enables them to consolidate their mother tongue, especially in the first few years of life, and experience real English language immersion and the study of Chinese from the age of 4 onwards.

At Agora Patufet Infant School, we see families as a vital element in our pupils’ learning process and encourage a constant and cooperative relationship between school and family, fully including the parents, as Infant Education is one of the essential stages in children’s development.

For families to be an essential pillar within our community, we promote fluid, confident, and friendly communication, creating an environment which enriches the link between school and family, and attending to the needs of both pupils and families. We create a bond in which the families take on an active role in the decisions concerning pupils and at the same time, have first-hand understanding of how the school works.

At Agora Patufet Infant School we know that to achieve the school’s objective – the happiness and development of our pupils – a school-family relationship is necessary. We have an active, creative, participatory, and experiential methodology, based on emotional education, so that the children feel loved and valued in a warm and friendly environment which takes the needs of every pupil into account.
