Agora Sant Cugat International School, best private school in Catalonia according to the El Mundo 2026 ranking

Agora Sant Cugat International School has been recognised as the best private school in Catalonia in the prestigious ranking “The 100 Best Schools in Spain 2026” published by the newspaper El Mundo. In addition, the school ranks seventh nationwide, consolidating its position as one of the leading schools in Spain.

The school achieved an outstanding overall score of 97 out of 100, reflecting the quality and strength of its educational project. In particular, the ranking highlights three key areas:

  • Teaching model: 37 points out of 39
  • Educational offer: 33 points out of 34
  • Facilities and resources: 26 points out of 27

An international educational model geared towards excellence

These results demonstrate Agora Sant Cugat International School’s commitment to innovative education, adapted to the challenges of today’s world and focused on the holistic development of each student.

One of the aspects most highly valued in the ranking is that the school is authorised to offer all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Thanks to this continuity, Agora Sant Cugat International School is one of the few schools in Catalonia that offers the IB Continuum, allowing students to be supported throughout all stages of their academic journey with a global and rigorous educational approach.

In addition, the school continues to expand its educational offer with initiatives such as the International Baccalaureate specialising in Performing Arts, as well as the ongoing renovation and improvement of its facilities to provide modern, creative learning environments adapted to students’ needs.

The key role of the educational community

Behind this recognition lies another essential factor: the daily dedication of the teaching staff. Teachers at Agora Sant Cugat International School support each student throughout their learning journey, helping them develop their skills, nurture their curiosity and reach their full potential.

Their commitment and educational vocation make it possible to offer close and personalised support while maintaining high academic standards, fostering not only academic learning but also the personal growth of each student.

This educational project is also built thanks to the trust and commitment of the families who form part of the school community. Their collaboration and support help create a strong educational environment in which students, families and teachers work together to promote each student’s academic and personal development.

The ranking “The 100 Best Schools in Spain” has become one of the main references in the Spanish education sector. Each year, specialised journalists analyse more than a thousand schools using 27 evaluation criteria, including aspects such as the pedagogical model, external recognition, quality standards, educational offer, languages, teaching staff, extracurricular activities and available resources and facilities.

This new recognition strengthens the position of Agora Sant Cugat International School as one of the most outstanding schools in the country, thanks to an educational project that is committed to academic excellence, the development of skills and competencies, values-based education and a truly international perspective.

From the school we would like to thank our entire educational community —students, families, teachers and staff— for their trust and dedication, which make it possible for us to continue moving forward while maintaining our commitment to providing the highest quality education.
