II Agora Sant Cugat Solidarity Winter Fair: A Celebration of Community, Creativity and Kindness

Agora Sant Cugat International School proudly hosted the II Solidarity Winter Fair - an event that once again brought together our entire school community for an afternoon filled with joy, generosity and festive spirit. Organised with remarkable dedication by our Secondary and Baccalaureate students and the Fair, built upon last year’s wonderful success, exceeded all expectations.

It was held on Wednesday 17th December, the Olivera Building transformed into a lively and welcoming space where families enjoyed an inspiring selection of stands, games, workshops and delicious treats. Purchased through solidarity tickets, each activity contributed directly to the Fair’s fundraising goal, strengthening our commitment to solidarity and collective action.

This year, all proceeds were donated to the Miquel Valls Catalan ALS Foundation, an organisation devoted to supporting people living with ALS and their families. Thanks to the extraordinary participation of our community, we continue to make a meaningful difference together.

A New Highlight: The Magic Forest

One of the most memorable additions to this year’s Fair was the enchanting Magic Forest, a beautiful pathway through Christmas traditions and festive storytelling. Students and families stepped into a dreamlike world where they could:

  • Explore enchanted stalls full of seasonal charm.
  • Write heartfelt letters to Father Christmas and visit his cheerful workshop.
  • Meet characters from Els Pastorets and enjoy face painting and dancing.

And most exciting of all, visit Father Christmas himself, who warmly welcomed children, collected their letters and posed for a cherished keepsake photo.

The Magic Forest quickly became a favourite for children and parents alike, capturing the true essence of this special time of year.

Family Participation: A Cornerstone of Our Fair

One of the most enriching aspects of the Solidarity Winter Fair is the active involvement of our families. This year, parents contributed in two wonderful ways: by hosting their own charity stands or by donating products sold at the school’s stand.

We were especially delighted to see families from diverse cultural backgrounds sharing their unique winter traditions, adding colour, flavour and authenticity to the event. Their participation enriched the fair with an atmosphere of global celebration and inclusivity - values at the heart of our school community.

Thank You for Making It Magical

The continued success of the Solidarity Winter Fair is a testament to the enthusiasm, creativity and kindness of our students, staff and families. Each year, this event grows not only in size but also in meaning, reminding us of the positive impact we can have when we come together with a shared purpose.

As we welcome the new 2026 year, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed time, energy and support. Your participation ensures that this beautiful tradition continues to thrive and that our collective actions truly help change lives.

We look forward to the next year’s Solidarity Winter Fair 2026 and to sharing many more magical moments as a community.
