Nina inspires Performing Arts students in a masterclass on voice, presence and confidence

Agora Sant Cugat International School welcomed Nina for a masterclass aimed at a selected group of students from the Performing Arts Baccalaureate and ESO, chosen for their artistic sensitivity, vocal maturity, interest and commitment to the performing arts.

The session brought together young people with a special connection to music and performance. Many of them had previously taken part in the musical The Greatest Showman or have additional musical training, which helped create a demanding, dynamic environment of high artistic quality.

Each student arrived at the masterclass with a prepared repertoire. Using these pieces as a starting point, Nina guided the group through the exploration of different musical genres, from pop and rock to musical theatre. The session became a real working space, where vocal technique, performance and personal expression were approached through practice, listening and the search for each student’s own voice.

It was a real joy to share this session with such talented young people, and to explore their questions, ambitions, hopes and dreams with them.Nina

Developing tools for personal growth and stage confidence

Beyond technical vocal work, the masterclass had a particularly human approach. Nina focused on essential aspects for any performer, but also on areas that are especially important during adolescence: self-esteem, stage confidence, presence, self-awareness and trust. The voice became more than a musical tool; it became a means of expression, self-discovery and personal growth.

Throughout the session, students were able to understand that dedicating oneself to the performing arts requires talent, but also perseverance, determination and rigorous work. With an approach that was both warm and demanding, Nina brought them closer to the professional reality of the stage, helping them understand the importance of preparation, commitment and learning to stand before an audience with authenticity.

For me, this masterclass was a very good opportunity to develop my singing skills. During the session, we worked on a wide range of aspects, focusing on each of our weakest points. I learnt a lot about technique and, thanks to Nina’s advice, I feel I have been able to improve. It was the perfect experience for someone with a passion for this art. I enjoyed it like never before.Martina B., student at Agora Sant Cugat International School

Fostering artistic talent through education

At Agora Sant Cugat International School, we believe that arts education plays a fundamental role in students’ growth. The stage not only teaches them to sing, perform or communicate; it also helps them gain confidence, express who they are and discover new ways of seeing the world.

This masterclass reinforces the value of our Performing Arts Baccalaureate in Sant Cugat, a programme that combines academic learning, creativity and a connection with the professional world. Because when a student finds their voice, they also begin to find their path.
